Chelsea Handler will soon end her run with E! and take her jokes to Netflix.

After seven years on Chelsea Lately, the 39-year-old will host the series finale on August 26. The comedian will then head to Netflix for a standup special premiering on Oct. 10, four comedy documentaries coming in 2015 and a talk show slated to premiere in 2016. The show will include celebrity guests and of course Handler's unapologetic candor.

Handler, who has been the only female late-night talk show host since Chelsea Handler premiered in 2007, will be the first to have a talk show off a television station.

"If I was going to continue working in this industry, I knew I had to do something outside the box to keep myself interested," Handler said in a statement. "I wanted to sit with the cool kids at lunch so I approached Netflix to make sure they were as cool as I thought they were, and when I confirmed my suspicions, like with any other future lover, I made my move. I'm more excited than I've been in awhile, and the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I've sat down with in ages. No offense to the Shahs of Sunset."

Handler had been vocal about leaving E! and her desire to work with the streaming service. In March, she visited Howard Stern's radio show and called E! "a sad, sad place to live." She added, "They don't know what they're doing. They have no ideas. It's a failure."
