"The last thing I need to be worrying about is One Direction, okay," Scherzinger told MTV. "They are just fine. Those boys are floating on cloud nine, they have got everything in the world, they've taken over.

"I find myself in the store buying their bags for my nieces," Scherzinger joked. "Can I get some free bags please?"

"I think they're just fine. I think they have it under control," she continued.

Cowell previously came to 1D's defense after a leaked video hit the Internet of Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson reportedly smoking marijuana in Peru.

"What I can say is that they're the hardest-working boys I've ever worked with," Cowell told Digital Spy. "They still haven't changed." Cowell and Scherzinger worked with One Direction when they were discovered on X Factor.

"They're really respectful of their fans [and] they're a great British export," Cowell continued, "they've been a joy to work with."

One Direction is currently on their Where We Are tour overseas. After stops in London and Copenhagen, the boys are next headed to Paris. Niall Horan even tweeted, "Bonjour Paris! What's up? Cannot believe we are play stade de France tonight! some of the best sporting nights ever have been there."
