It could be a coincidence, but 2-year-old Blue Ivy Carter has a new hairstyle, just days after the internet erupted over a petition that urged her parents, Beyoncé and Jay Z to "Comb Her Hair."

The precious tot was spotted with her Tom Ford rapper father out and about in New York City on Father's Day. Pictures that surfaced Friday show Jay Z holding Blue Ivy in his arms as she sports a floral outfit. Her hair was pulled back from her face into a high bun. The Carter clan might have been trying to send a message to their haters because Blue Ivy was also wearing a gold crown on her head.

The trio made their way to an exhibit of Kara Walker's A Subtlty at the old Domino Sugar Factor in Brooklyn.

A Brooklyn woman who launched the petition earlier this month on change.org took to her Facebook page to speak out. She claimed that it was all just a joke.

She wrote, "I'm just so over with society! Obviously the petition was just a joke! It just goes to show you how dumb people really are to believe I would really deep down in my heart start a petition to comb her hair and be DEAD SERIOUS! Your suppose to laugh at stuff like that. Shake your head and keep strolling. A discussion with 4 friends and a joke when I said 'I'm going to start a petition to get this baby hair combed' turned global!!!"

Still, the petition has garnered more than 5,000 signatures.
