It was reported that Harrison Ford broke his leg while filming Star Wars: Episode VII, and the actor dished on how that can actually be beneficial towards the movie.

Episode VII Will Be 'All About Action?'

The actor spoke to Daily Express on how he feels about getting hurt, as published by Mirror.

"I am like a battered old Ford," the actor said.

Carrie Fisher Will Have A Completely New Look As Princess Leia?

"And I keep on coming back for more," he continued. "If it doesn't look real on the screen than an audience does not believe what it sees."

Ford mentioned that he has knowledge on what would look good for the film since he does a lot of the big stunts on his own.

"Although I do my own running, jumping and falling, I always try to keep myself from being hurt," he said. "So I know what will work and what won't."

The actor then revealed that he didn't think he would still be making movies at this point of his life.

"I honestly never thought my acting would last thing long," Ford said. "All I've done is try to get scripts which interest me and make sure I prepare as well as I possibly can."

"After that, it's a matter of hoping that people like what they see and keep on going back," he continued. "It's not an 'art.' I simply enjoy it as a great job."

Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are all set to reprise their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia in the seventh feature film.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
