Cast and crew members of Rizzoli and Isles are continuing to grieve over the death of actor Lee Thompson Young, and gave some theories on how the series will continue without him.

Maura & Jane Will Mourn The Death Of Barry Frost

On Saturday, News One reported that the actors are coping over the alleged suicide of the actor who played Detective Barry Frost on the series. Sasha Alexander, who plays Maura Isles on the series, hopes that all of Young's loved ones will be able to go through with the process as the cast and crew members do.

"I hope that people who knew him and adored him and loved him on the show will enjoy it and be able to move through it with us," the actress said.

Lee Thompson Young Was Suffering From Depression?

After Young died, Jan Nash signed on as the new show runner where she reportedly had to think of a way to continue the series.

"I really do think it was very brave of TNT and Warner Bros. and Jane Nash to embark on handling it head-on," Alexander said. "They might have been like, 'I can't deal with this. I don't know how to handle this,' but they didn't. They went for it and everyone just embraced it and I think that was really just to show our love for him."

The actress also mentioned that there are no plans to replace Young's character anytime soon.

"So his seat remains empty and it's something that we have had to look at and struggle with from day one of shooting," she said.

Rizzoli and Isles airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
