New information on Barbie (Mike Vogel) will gradually be revealed over the course of Under the Dome Season 2, via the introduction of his father.

Under the Dome executive producer Neal Baer recently spoke with TVGuide.com about the Barbie's father being introduced in the new season and what it would reveal about Barbie.

Barbie's father, who will be played by Brett Cullen, will help serve as a "revelation that's unexpected in terms of who Barbie really is," Baer said. "His father runs a multinational company, so Barbie is not a poor, working-class kid."

The report states that Barbie's father will likely have a surprising connection to another one of the new characters being introduced in Season 2.

The premiere episode of Under the Dome will be a significant one, as two main characters will die. The reported list of characters who could potentially die in the season premiere is the following: Big Jim (Dean Norris), Junior (Alexander Koch), Barbie (Mike Vogel), Linda (Natalie Martinez), Angie (Britt Robertson), Norrie, Carolyn and Phil (Nicholas Strong).

Based on the sneak peek preview released by CBS this week, it seems that Carolyn is high up on the list of characters who could die. The sneak peek of the premiere features Carolyn knocked unconscious by the magnetic forces of the Dome.

Under the Dome Season 2 premieres Monday, June 30 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
