Lovato has joked before about her crush on Heard. In 2013, Lovato told MTV, "Dream celebrity crush, Amber Heard. She's gorgeous, so gorgeous."

Heard, although engaged now to Black Mass star Depp, had revealed herself as bisexual after dating photographer Tasya van Ree for many years.

"I didn't want to look like I was hiding anything," Heard told Elle in September 2014 about her former girlfriend. "I'm not, and wasn't ever, ashamed."

Heard recently said that people were always interested in her personal life because of her former relationship. "I haven't noticed any change in my career," she said about becoming engaged to A-List actor Depp. "And, for better or worse, I've always had a love life that seemed particularly salacious to some people. Before, it was also seen as unconventional."

Depp and Heard are reportedly planning a fall 2014 wedding. "Whenever my old friends meet someone I'm involved with romantically, they immediately warn them: 'She may look refined, but when she's angry, she can go trailer park really fast,'" Heard joked about her down-to-earth upbringing. "But I'd rather be passionate than bland. I can't imagine living a quiet life."
