Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi on Criminal Minds, spoke about his character and dished some on the next season, via a recent fan interaction conducted by CBS.

What We Know About The Next Season Of Criminal Minds So Far

When the actor was asked if he had a wishlist for guest stars in the next season, Mantegna, revealed that he actually hoped Ringo Starr would come on the show.

He first spoke about how the show had a alot of great actors -- "people that I was a fan of" -- guest star in the past. He went on to reveal that Tim Curry was one of his favorite guest stars from previous seasons.

"I'd love to see Ringo Starr," he stated. Mantegna went on to recall meeting Starr at the Grammys once and how Starr actually recognised him from the show. Starr jokingly asked Mantegna if he had been "Solving anymore crimes lately?"

He also said that for observant fans, they'd notice that there is a picture of him and Starr on David Rossi's desk on the show. Seems like this cound well be a possibility as Starr follows the show and Mantegna seems to be quite the fan. Maybe the executives over at CBS will get working on this soon.

The second and final part of the season 9 finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The tenth season of Criminal Minds will premiere on October 1.
