Rumors are continuing to circulate around pop star Katy Perry's love life after her ex-boyfriend John Mayer left the picture.

On Thursday, Web Pro News published a story from LOOK that mentioned that Perry has allegedly been heating things up with Twilight actor Robert Pattinson. According to the publication, she really likes him, but fears that they'll get too close.

"She's mad about Rob, but is so terrified of getting serious and hurt again," a source said. "I think that's why she's trying not to get too involved romantically. She'll also be super cautious of becoming one half of a celebrity couple yet again."

Even though there's no word yet on if the two are officially dating or not, rumor has it that the actor might want more from Perry.

"Rob's behavior makes it clear to anyone who sees him with Katy that he's interested in taking their friendship further," the source said.

The pop star was previously dating John Mayer and was married to Russell Brand. She recently opened up about her past love life to Cosmopolitan on the kind of men she likes, and what she's learned.

"I guess I happen to be attracted to high-frequency men," the Birthday singer said, published in New York Daily News.

"It feels like a hundred lifetimes ago, so it's like digging up an old grave," Perry added. "A lot of therapy has happened and a lot of understanding and growth."

She also mentioned that the longest she's gone without sex was "maybe six months to a year."
