The premiere date for Season 2 of Showtime's drama Masters of Sex is getting closer and a new trailer was just released to whet fans appetites.

Courtney Vance Set To Guest Star On Masters of Sex

A longer trailer released Friday shows some of the drama that will unfold when Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) return from Masters declaring his love for his former secretary at the end of Season 1. The two are seen embarking on a full-blown affair with Virginia even telling Bill, "What we have between us is so much more than [an affair], we have the work."

The cast has said that Masters of Sex second season will be racier than the first. "Season 2 should be interesting because for Season 1, Valerie Joseph, our lovely post-production supervisor - because we had a lot more time between wrapping, shooting and the airdate of the show - made "family edits" that artfully cut out everything that had to do with Virginia being naked," Caplan told TV Line about her character. "Everybody else's nudity and stuff was in there, but mine was cut out." Caplan said she will definitely be getting undressed in Season 2.

Is New Character Getting Between Bill And Virginia?

"So as we gear up for the airdate of Season 2, this will be the first time I have to have that conversation with my family, because it's definitely not something that I want them to watch," the actress said about the on-screen nudity. "I thought perhaps I would have matured a bit in the last year to wrap my head around it, but I can safely tell you I have absolutely no interest in the male members of my family watching Season 2 of Masters of Sex."

The show returns to Showtime July 13.
