Will Adam Milligan Return To 'Supernatural' In Season 10? Execs Talk Fate Of Jake Abel's Character

As the CW drama rounds the corner to the decade mark, the series will continue to follow the 23-episode format of its last several seasons, according to co-executive producer Jim Michaels.

Now entering its fourth season with the 23-epiosde format, Supernatural will hit its landmark 200th episode during the fifth installment of season 10. As the series continues to receive strong ratings, Michael's posited that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) may have an extra hour to play with if they make it to an 11th year.

"We can do that in season 11 if we do season 10 right!" Michaels assured a fan when asked if the network would ever consider a 24-epiosde season. This statement could also help squash rumors that the upcoming Supernatural retrospective (Oct. 6) could signal the start of a final year.

When Supernatural returns this fall, Sam will have to figure out how to save both Dean and Cas (Misha Collins). With the deceased Dean now sporting demonic black eyes and Cas' grace on the fritz, the younger Winchester will have his work cut out for him.
