Despite being nominated for two BET Awards, Rihanna did not make an appearance to the ceremony on Sunday, and neither did her reported ex-boyfriend Drake. And rumor has it that another one of Rihanna's ex-boyfriends is glad that those two didn't show up.

Rihanna & Drake's Music Caused Chris Brown To Almost 'Start A Fight?'

On Tuesday, Hollywood Life reported that the Diamonds singer's former flame Chris Brown was relieved that his ex nor Drake didn't attend the same award ceremony that he did.

"He didn't want to be bothered with either of them or have any kind of negative energy from them or anyone else for that matter," a source told the site.

Did Drake Say A Nasty Comment About Rihanna?

When Brown attended the event, the only thing that was allegedly on his mind was to show the audience that he's an artist.

"That night, from his perspective, was about the fans and his determination to go out there and show the world he's still that talented guy from Virginia," the source said.

There's a possibility that if Rihanna or Drake had made an appearance to the same event, then Brown wouldn't have been able to feel the magic of being an entertainer.

"When [Chris] got on stage and he saw all his peers and all the fans standing on their feet and cheering for him, it made him believe in himself just that much more," the insider said. "He felt really, really supported and honored to be on stage and thanks BET tremendously."

That night, Rihanna was nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and the FANdemonium Award.
