A writer for a pro-anorexic website called Skinny Gossip wrote an article insulting supermodel Kate Upton with the title "Kate Upton is Well-Marbled."

The anonymous writer opened the article, saying: "Did you know humans are 80 percent identical to cows? Well, allow me to prove it to you...Guess who?! Yes, it's the lovely Kate Upton, confidently lumbering up a runway like there's a buffet at the end of it."

The writer, who calls herself "Skinny Girl", continued to criticize 20-year-old Upton with the following comments:

"Upton lumbers down the runway like there's a buffet at the end of it. She looks thick, vulgar, and she's a solid 30 pounds too heavy for a bikini...huge thighs, no waist, big, floppy boobs, terrible body definition-she looks like a squishy brick."

Skinny Gossip also accuses the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model of cannibalism for eating a hamburger in a Carl's Jr. commercial: "I thought cannibalism was illegal?!? If that's not a very different species of cow, Kate could be in legal trouble!"

The writer later wrote another post to defend her comments, saying: "In closing, there's nothing wrong with saying skinny is beautiful, just like there's nothing wrong with saying curvy is beautiful, or red hair is beautiful, or anything else someone happens to find appealing. It's an opinion, and we're all entitled to them."

Kate Upton has been criticized in the press before. The casting agent for the Victoria's Secret fashion show, Sophia Neophitou, told The New York Times, "We would never use" Ms. Upton for a Victoria's Secret show."

"She's like a Page 3 girl," Ms. Neophitou said, referring to voluptuous women featured in The Sun, a London tabloid, according to the article. "She's like a footballer's wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy."

SkinnyGossip is one of many websites that tries to promote anoxeria, offering "starving tips of the day" and attacking public figures who it deems overweight, reported the Daily News.
