Howard was the man of the hour in the World Cup game Tuesday, and even though his team lost, he is being commended on social media. His popularity has allegedly led Dancing With the Stars producers to consider casting him in the upcoming 19th season of the show.

"Everyone saw Tim get his hands on almost everything during the World Cup game against Belgium and now Dancing wants to get his hands on one of the dancers," a source close to DWTS reportedly told HollywoodLife.com.

One of the pro dancers reportedly wants to partner with him in the new season.

"Cheryl Burke is the frontrunner if Tim joins the show," our source reveals. "She wants to dance with him and once the holiday passes, he will 100 percent be asked to join the show."

This wouldn't be the first time Dancing With the Stars courted popular athletes fresh off their success in worldwide sports. Olympic ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White both competed on this spring's edition of Dancing With the Stars, with the former winning the whole competition and the latter coming in fifth place.

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 will debut in the fall on ABC, though the network has not announced a specific premiere date yet. It will be returning to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
