5 Seconds of Summer is one of the hottest new boy bands, and they already have super dedicated fans. Some of those followers even send the boys unusual gifts.

"We don't like to say 'strange', we like to say 'dedicated'. We level it on the amount of dedicatedness... dedicatedness? Dedication," band member Luke Hemmings told Digital Spy about their fans. "We've had some crazy stuff but I kind of like that, it makes them stand out, I guess. We've been sent strippers... male strippers. That was pretty weird, but we accepted them."

Fellow member Calum Hood didn't mention strippers, but he did say he can spot 5SOS fans in a crowd. "The cool thing about our fans is that you can tell which ones are ours, they dress like us," Hood said. "They'll wear bandanas and they'll wear flannel shirts tied round their waist and they'll have like different colored hair, so it's pretty cool."

5 Seconds of Summer is currently opening up for One Direction on some of their summer Where We Are tour. They also opened up for 1D during their sold out stand at Wembley Stadium in London.

"At Wembley not everyone's gonna know us, obviously, so we played a song where everyone knows that song [Katy Perry's Teenage Dream]," Hemmings said about getting the crowd on their side.

Despite the small setback, 5SOS is trying to separate themselves from other bands, including 1D. Hemmings said, "Be the band you want to be and not what everyone else is doing at the moment."
