Katie Holmes Spoke About Divorce from Tom Cruise with Nicole Kidman: Report

Katie Holmes has reportedly sought advice from actress Nicole Kidman on her divorce from Tom Cruise.

According to published reports, the two have been having private phone conversations to help Katie through this trying time.

"They've spoken over the last few weeks.  Nicole has been supportive, saying she's been through it too and to hang in there," an anonymous source explained to US Weekly. "They spoke when Nicole called the kids. She knows what it's like in that freaky house."

"Nicole offered her support and help since she's been there. She has been a private friend not many people know about. She told Katie her life is great and now she has no regrets," the source said. 

Some tabloids have reported that Holmes has been dealing with members of the Church of Scientology who were reportedly following her around and bad-mouthing her. But the Church of Scientology has denied those reports.

Kidman may be familiar with dealing with the Church. According to reports, members of the Scientology community repeatedly told Kidman's children that she was a "sociopath ." 

In 1989, Kidman and Cruise met while on the set of Tony Scott's "Days of Thunder." Within a year after meeting, the couple decided to marry. A spokesperson for the couple announced that the two would be ending their 12-year marriage, in February of 2001. However, Tom's second marriage took way longer to reach a settlement than his third, most recent divorce. Six months after making the announcement of the divorce, Cruise and Kidman reached an agreement and the divorce was finalized. Kidman didn't go quietly; she went on the Late Show with David Letterman, where she announced she could finally wear high heels again.

This isn't Katie's first time reaching out to Kidman for advice, according to Hollywood Life, Holmes often turned to Kidman for advice and support throughout their marriage, making secret phone calls. If anyone knew what Katie had to deal with, it certainly was Kidman.
