Director Jensen Ackles Pranked, 'Supernatural' Not Filming Premiere First

"Please note that the season 10 premiere of #Supernatural is NOT titled Soul Survivor! Thx!" clarified co-executive producer Jim Michaels on Saturday.

Set to feature the introduction of a new character named Rowena, "Soul Survivor" will also have a familiar director at the helm.

"The episode of #supernatural Jensen [Ackles] is directing will air as the 3rd one in season 10," Michaels revealed in late June.

While Ackles spends most of his time on Supernatural playing Dean Winchester, the actor has stepped behind the camera several times in the past. With "Weekend at Bobby's," "The Girl Next Door," and "Heartache" already under his belt, "Soul Survivor" will be Ackles' fourth time in the director's chair.
