Highly acclaimed for his Oscar winning work on the big screen, actor Morgan Freeman has built an acting career of success.  Known to speak out about his Political views from time to time, he recently voiced a controversial opinion on President Barrack Obama's black heritage.

First black President?  Not if you ask Morgan.

While conducting an interview with public radio's NPR, Morgan made some remarks that had many of us scratching our heads.

"Barack had a mama and she was white, very white American, Kansas, middle of America," said Freeman.

The comment seemed to call into question Obama's racial makeup; but more importantly, discount him as an illegitimate African-American.

However, if one watches the interview, you can see that Freeman was actually defending the President against the birther movement; which was built on the basis of maintaining a "natural constitution."

The self-proclaimed constitution renewers have been unsuccessfully trying to disqualify Barrack Obama as a legit United States citizen throughout his presidency.

Clearly meaning no harm, Freeman got into technicalities and seemed to question the already written history books.

"America's first black president hasn't arisen yet," Freeman then stated.

"He's not America's first black president - he's America's first mixed-race president," Freeman continued.

Following the previously race dishing remarks, Freeman went on to defend our President claiming that he is being "purposely thwarted."  Another words, that the Republicans would like nothing more than to see Obama gone after the current term.

Freeman had also made a recent appearance on CNN and had some other opinions that seemed to clarify the quote.

During the discussion, he continued to slam Republicans for pursuing what he claimed was a "racist" goal to bring down Obama.

"Screw the country, we're going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here," said Freeman.

Oh, the power of being a celebrity and the flack they receive for voicing their opinions!
