Rumors have circulated that Amal Alamuddin's mother Baria may not approve of her daughter's fiancé George Clooney, but if those sentiments are true they're certainly not extending to the actor's mother.

George Clooney 'Not Good Enough' For Amal Alamuddin?

On the same day Baria was reported of not thinking Clooney was good enough for her daughter, she was spotted back in Lake Como, Italy shopping with her future son-in-law's mother, Nina.

The Daily Mail reported the two women rarely had smiles leave their faces as they walked around the village together, browsing hats and silk scarves ahead of their children's planned September nuptials.

Amal Alamuddin Pregnant?

The smile on Baria's face is a complete turnaround from reports that she didn't approve of Clooney marrying her daughter because it meant she would have to give up her strict faith, a medieval offshoot of Islam known as Druze.

Baria reportedly told anyone who would listen following her first visit to Lake Como that she thought her daughter could do better with a man that follows the religion.

"You would think Amal has hit the jackpot with George Clooney, but Baria is not happy," a friend of Baria's reportedly told Daily Mail July 7. "She thinks Amal can do better. She has been telling half of Beirut, in fact anyone that will listen there are five hundred thousand Druze. Are none of them good enough for her?"

Though his future mother-in-law reportedly didn't approve because Clooney isn't from the same religion, he appears determined to give his fiancée the wedding of her dreams-including getting musician Lana del Ray to perform at the reception.

"Amal is a massive fan of Lana's, which has made George determined to make this happen," a source told The Mirror. "He contacted Lana's people to see if she'll perform at their wedding in Italy."

Del Ray, who recently performed at another famous Italian wedding-for friends Kanye West and Kim Kardashian-is reportedly considering the request, but won't perform for free, though that's not an issue for Clooney.

"But money is no object. He'll pay Lana whatever she wants to make his wife-to-be happy," the source added.

Clooney and Alamuddin are expected to marry at the actor's Lake Como villa in September.
