On July 8, Warner Bros. came out with an official press release revealing its movie lineup for Comic-Con this month. The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies will take the main stage with director Peter Jackson on July 26.

"Human Side" Of Story "Absolutely Pivotal" Despite Overuse Of CGI In The Hobbit Trilogy

The movie will be presented with two of Warner's other big banner films, Mad Max: Fury Road and Jupiter Ascending.

Here's the excerpt from the press release stating that The Battle of Five Armies will be a big reveal at the festival:

"On Saturday, July 26th, beginning at 10 a.m., Warner Bros. Pictures brings three of its most hotly anticipated films to this year's Con: Peter Jackson will be on the main stage with "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," from New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, and George Miller will be on hand to present a first look at "Mad Max: Fury Road," from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures. The Hall H audience will also get a peek at the Wachowskis' original sci-fi actioner "Jupiter Ascending," also from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures. Attending stars will be revealed at a later date."

Climax Of The Battle of Five Armies 'Sets Tone' For 'What's Going To Happen' In The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

As there had been a lot of speculation surrounding the unveiling of the first teaser for the movie, Jackson had recently taken to Facebook to quell fan curiosity:

"Thank you all for your responses to my posting about Lorri and Damien's book. Of course, many of you asked about the Hobbit Trailer. So, yes - there will be a Hobbit Trailer. But like the previous two years, it's not going to be released until around Oct. The complex VFX work required to produce the battle shots we're all wanting to see are simply not far enough along yet.

However ... yesterday I finished work on a Teaser Trailer and that has just been delivered to Warner Bros. So no doubt this Teaser Trailer will be making it's way into the world sometime soon...

Cheers,

Peter J"

The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies will hit theaters on Dec. 18.
