The former NFL player sported a custom gray John Varvatos tuxedo while Simpson stunned in a Carolina Herrera wedding gown with a floor-length viel. The designer told People that she drew inspiration for the gown from Franz Zaver Winterhalter's 1865 portrait the Empress Elisabeth "Sissi" of Austria.

"The whole dress is embroidered in gold and feels very regal," Herrera told the magazine. The fashion designer added that she hoped to turn the mother of two into a "beautiful golden girl."

The singer-turned-fashion designer asked her mother, Tina, and younger sister, Ashlee, to be the maids of honor and she also had 12 bridesmaids. Her hubby's father, Stephen, was his best man and Ashlee's fiancé, Evan Ross, was included as a groomsmen.

The couple's two children were also involved in the ceremony and even received standing ovations. Maxwell, 2, was the flower girl while their 1-year-old, Ace, was the ring bearer. Little Maxwell also wore Carolina Herrera on the special day.

As for the couple's female wedding guests, they received rose-colored leather totes filled with items personally designed by Simpson, according to E! Online.

"It's so surreal," Simpson told People of the wedding. "This has been something we've wanted ever since we met."
