The situation concerning Rafe (Jimmy Deshler) and Molly's (Haley Pullos) accident is about to get even more dramatic and intense on General Hospital.

Rafe's Condition Gets Worse?

Molly has come out of the accident relatively unscathed, as she is alive and is recovering from her injuries-but Rafe hasn't been as lucky, as he started having seizures. In an ironic twist of fate, he needs surgery-and the only person who can do that surgery is Patrick (Jason Thompson).

Prior to this accident, a high on cocaine Rafe caused the car accident that resulted in Patrick's infant son Gabriel dying-and Patrick now has to make an attempt to save the life of the person who took his child away from him-putting him in an ethical dilemma.

Rafe Gets Into Another Car Accident?

Now, everyone is sitting tight as they wait to find out if Rafe will make it out of the surgery alive-and whether or not Patrick will do the right thing is weighing heavily on their minds.

"Patrick is doing surgery on the kid that he holds responsible," Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) says to Lulu (Emmee Rylan) in a preview clip for the Wednesday, July 9 episode.

The concern could be warranted however, as Rafe's surgery begins to go wrong-and Patrick seems conflicted over what to do about it.

"We got a bleeder!" a nurse says in the clip.

Meanwhile, Julian (Michael DeVry) will start to feel guilt over the accident when he learns Rafe was high at the time-as his company controls the supply of drugs in Port Charles.

"Rafe was high at the time of the accident?" he asks Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
