The return of Phyllis to Genoa City will stir a lot of drama on The Young and the Restless this summer. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will wake up from her comma on the Monday, August 11 episode and won't be thrilled when she discovers that Jack (Peter Bergman) has been spending his time with Kelly (Cady McClain).

Who is Gina Tognoni, The New Actress Playing Phyllis?

"It's a lot of drama," McClain told Soap Opera Network of the situation with Phyllis. "It's heavy catastrophe!"

The character, which made her debut on the show in 1994 with actress Michelle Stafford, has been in the hospital for a year now after suffering a brain trauma from a staircase fall.

However, even before Phyllis returns, there will be conflict with her daughter, Summer (Hunter King). It's been no secret that Summer isn't happy with her dad's relationship with Kelly.

Hilary & Devon Get Together Behind Neil's Back?

"Summer's been causing lots of trouble, for sure," McClain said. "What's happening is that Kelly is just trying desperately to get on the good side of the family, which sometimes works and sometimes does not. It just looks like the sucking up that it is!"

Yet, Summer's dismay won't stop Jack from seeing the blond. "Jack is falling farther and farther for Kelly," Bergman added. "But the day [that Phyllis awakes] is coming! Tick tock...."

Jack once promised Summer that if her mother ever wakes up from the coma, he would be with her no matter what. Will this be the case when Phyllis wakes up?
