While many rumors have surrounded the couple for years, the truth is that Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres have been having some problems. After a report circulated that de Rossi went into rehab in May, now People confirms the couple have been going through issues.

"They've had their ups and downs," a source told the magazine. "Portia has been very outspoken about previous issues, like her eating disorder, and she's good at seeking help when she needs to. They've worked out difficulties in the past, and no doubt they're trying to work out any problems right now."

One of those problems seems to be DeGeneres' heavy workload. DeGeneres' work schedule doesn't seem to be getting any lighter, however, with the talk show host launching a new brand this winter. DeGeneres just announced a new lifestyle brand called E.D. to come out this holiday season.

"My goal is that people can have a beautiful house, a really comfortable house, without only being able to afford [very expensive] things," DeGeneres told WWD. It's going to be interesting over the next three or four years, to really establish the business in addition to doing my show. It's a whole new chapter. My life has gone to places...it's pretty amazing."

Despite DeGeneres' work life being sometimes overwhelming for her wife de Rossi, friends told People that they wouldn't be surprised if the couple renewed their vows around their anniversary in August.

"They both love to celebrate special occasions and holidays, and their wedding anniversary is no different. They usually celebrate with a big party and invite a lot of friends," the insider said. "They really are a lovely couple. They enjoy being married, and it shows."
