Pretty Little Liars' Caleb Rivers is back in Rosewood, but his general levelheaded attitude and stability seem to be lacking.

Caleb Calls Alison A 'Liar', Will He Fall Into Her Traps Anyway?

A long absence has changed Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), and not necessarily for the better.

While Hanna's (Ashley Benson) old boyfriend is quick to pick up on Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) highly toxic and untrustworthy nature, Caleb seems to have brought a few harmful habits back from Rosewood. Hanna's apparent disregard of his warnings and overwhelming interest in Travis probably won't help the teen deal with his latest bout of problems.

"He comes back and sees that Hanna is with somebody else, and there's so much that's transpired since he's been gone," Blackburn told MTV. "I think he's overwhelmed. He isolates, and has a lot of demons, and therefore a lot of vices are created in his isolation. You'll find out what those are. He's not just going to come back and be Hanna's knight in shining armor."

The Ravenswood star won't be completely on his own, however. Toby (Keegan Allen) will be one of the few Rosewood natives ready to lend Caleb a helping hand.

"Toby is definitely a friend to Caleb, and vice versa," Blackburn continued. "Toby is a little older than Caleb, so he plays a little bit of a big brother role... Toby does step up to the plate at one point, and helps Caleb out. Once the season goes on and you realize what Caleb is really dealing with and what his issues are, Toby again comes up and tries to help him and save the day a little bit."
