Dave Legeno, who starred in the popular Harry Potter franchise, has been found dead.

The 50-year-old British actor was discovered by hikers on Sunday, July 6 in Death Valley National Park in California, TMZ reported on Friday.

The Inyo County Sheriff's Department told the website that Legeno presumably died from "heat related issues." He "may have been dead for 3-4 days before his body was discovered."

Legeno, also an MMA fighter, played the role of werewolf Fenrir Greyback in the Harry Potter films. Some of his other movie credits include 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman, 2000's Snatch alongside Brad Pitt and most recently the TV series Borgia. His latest film, Petroleum Spirit, is also listed in the pre-production stages on IMDB.

The actor is survived by one daughter in her 20s.
