Howard Stern began a feud with Howie Mandel on Tuesday's episode of America's Got Talent. Contestant Big Barry gave a poor performance of Nina Simone's "Feelin' Good," and Mandel's response to to the singer greatly angered Stern.

"Barry, I'm going to be totally honest with you. You're not a good singer. But you're an amazing character, and you've got this God-given stature and sound," Mandel said as the audience booed. "I think you're an incredible novelty act that people would come and see and pay for."

Stern, who was noticeably vexed and frustrated as Mandel gave his critique, quickly interrupted and pressed his buzzer.

"You know, the Howie filibuster is getting annoying to me actually," he said. "I gotta tell you, Big Barry, this isn't about you. This is about Howie and how he treats the show. This is about the apology you owe Flo Jo's daughter [Mary Joyner], Andrew DeLeon -- all the people who could have gotten through instead of Big Barry. It's offensive."

The two judges began to bicker with one another, prompting co-judge, Sharon Osbourne, to intervene.

"Girls, girls, behave!" she said. Stern remained angry at Mandel's benefit-of-the-doubt approach and accused him of being a sham. However, Mandel refused to apologize, insisting that Big Barry is a talented performer.

"I will not apologize. I really think [Barry] is good. America, vote!" Mandel said.

Stern's attitude with contestants and judges does not come as a surprise to viewers. Before the judge began on America's Got Talent, he claimed he would be the "strict judge."

And he's been true to his word, fans say.
