Rihanna Heads To Brazil For The Final World Cup Game

Several famous faces took to Twitter to speak on the anticipated game.

German defender Jerome Boateng wrote, "Matchday! World Cup Final 2014 #GERARG."

German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger also tweeted a few thanks before the big game. "Thanks to all Brazilians for your support&your hospitableness in the last weeks.You're amazing! #GERARG #WorldCup2014," he wrote.

Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel tweeted, "TODAY. BIG. DAY. So excited! I'm supporting Germany. Attack my Dutch boys!"

Unlike the supermodel, Univision TV host, Rodner Figueroa, is rooting for Germany's opponent. "Let's go Argentina!!! Vamos Argentina!!! #WorldCup2014," he tweeted.

WWE's Ricardo Rodriguez also wants the South American team to win. He tweeted: "Big World Cup 2014 finals today! Will be on a plane but definitely rooting for @Argentina !!" 

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi even chimed in and tweeted, "Best wishes to Argentina & Germany for the FIFA World Cup Final. It is amazing how the tournament brought fans across the world together."

Pop Francis, who is of Argentinian descent, also had something to say about the game. He tweeted: "The World Cup allowed people from different countries and religions to come together. May sport always promote the culture of encounter."

This year's World Cup broke social media history becoming the most tweeted sporting event ever. A record number of 35.6 million tweets were written on July 8 when Germany beat Brazil 7-1 in the semifinal game. The previous record was held by the Super Bowl in February with 24.9 tweets.
