The new CW hit series The Originals will be breaking from production this summer to head to San Diego for Comic-Con.

The Originals Actress Lands Modeling Gig

According to one source, it has been confirmed that a majority of the cast will sit on a panel for the series on Friday, July 25th at 4:15 p.m. The Vampire Diaries, which is the series that inspired The Originals as a spin-off, will have a panel on Saturday afternoon.

While most panels boast a few actors or writers, The Originals will be filling up the stage during their Comic-Con appearance.

Viking Flashback Coming To The Originals This Fall

Executive producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci will appear on The Originals panel, along with actors Joseph Morgan (Klaus Mikaelson), Daniel Gillies (Elijah Mikaelson), Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley Marshall), Charles Michael Davis (Marcel Gerard), Leah Pipes (Cami O'Connell), and Danielle Campbell (Davina Claire).

Two notable exclusions are Steven Krueger, who plays the well-meaning newbie vampire Josh, and Claire Holt, who made quite a stir when she chose to leave the series mid-season. Holt had previously played a significant role on both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals as Klaus and Elijah's younger sister Rebekah.

The show's Comic-Con appearance will come just a few weeks after their first Emmy nomination, one of only two for the network this year. Colleen Labaff and Kimberly Spiteri were nominated under Outstanding Hairstyling in a Multi-Camera Series Or Special for episode twelve of the series, Dance Back From The Grave.

The Originals returns to The CW for a second season on a new night Monday, October 6th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
