Tom Cruise did not pay Katie Holmes a lump sum in his divorce settlement, but he will pay her well in the child support department.

The "Mission Impossible" star will be paying his ex-wife over $10 million for the next 12 years for their 6-year-old daughter Suri until she turns 18.

There have been several reports that Katie obtained $50 million in her divorce settlement with Cruise. According to TMZ, sources revealed that the amount that has been rumored to have been given to Katie is "ridiculous."

TMZ was told she did not get a lump sum of money because she signed a prenuptial agreement and she ended the marriage. Sources added that she was not after Tom's money, because "she has her own money."

Forbes magazine announced last week that Cruise tops their "Highest Paid Actors List." Cruise earned $75 million between May 2011 and May 2012, making him the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, according to the article.

The last film of the "Mission Impossible" franchise, "Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol", grossed $700 million at the box office worldwide. Cruise received a portion of film's profits. He also got paid for the upcoming sci-fi film "Oblivion", which is scheduled to hit theaters in April.

Cruise's huge year puts him $38 million ahead of the two actors who tied for second place on our list: Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Sandler. We estimate that each star earned $37 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise on June 28. The couple reached a divorce settlement earlier this week, although no details were publicly disclosed.

Holmes and Cruise married in 2006. It was his third marriage and her first. They only had one child, Suri, 6.
