One Direction just wrapped up their European stint on the Where We Are tour, but it wasn't easy for singer Liam Payne. Payne hurt his knee during the concert and had to be carried out by his fellow 1D members.

According to Cambio, Payne suffered an ankle injury during the show on July 13 and Zayn Malik and Niall Horan had to carry him off. Payne had to sit down during the rest of the show, which gave fans an entertaining performance when Horan serenaded Payne during the song "Strong."

This isn't the first time a One Direction singer has been hurt in concert. In Amsterdam, Horan was hit in the knee by a flying object and had to take to his Twitter account to tell fans to try and cool their behavior.

On June 25, Horan tweeted to his fans, "Also guys! Can you limit what gets thrown on stage please! Coz somethin thrown at me tonight! Hit my knee! A lot of pain from it!"

"Never wana sound like I'm complaining! But only having my operation 5 months ago, I still get a bit of pain and I'm very scared about it" Horan had knee surgery back in early 2014.

Luckily now, One Direction will get a bit of a break before picking up their North American portion of the Where We Are tour in August. Their first date is August 1 in Toronto before moving to New Jersey on August 4.
