Has Fifty Shades of Grey star Rita Ora gotten Beyonce Knowles' approval? If Instagram is any indication, yes. Knowles gave Ora's newest fashion endeavor a thumbs up on her social media site.
Knowles posted a pic on Instagram of herself in Ora's newest collection for Adidas. On July 16, Ora then posted another pic of Knowles in her collection on her own Instagram page "My big sis, The queen to you... rocking my first Adidas loves Rita Ora collection! #unstoppable out for you August 26th. #thankyou #myfamilia #iloveyou @beyonce".
It was reported in May that Ora would first design clothes for the sporting apparel company. "I'm a massive fan of the brand," Ora told WWD. "I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It's so cool that I'm able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger."
The collaboration is set to go on for three seasons and will be sold at Adidas Originals stores and on their Web site.
Ora was so dedicated she even went to the Adidas headquarters in Germany. "I studied all of their shoes and their archives from the past 50 years," she said. "Before I started, I wanted to meet the team that was going to do it with me. So I did a performance at their Christmas party and met everyone. I was there for four hours going through a mood board, seeing what they have, what they don't have and bouncing back and forth with ideas. From there on, literally we'd meet every two weeks for a five-hour meeting."
Ora said her goal was for people to be "comfortable, but sexy" at the same time in her Adidas clothes.
