Supernatural will go meta - and musical - for its 200th episode.

'Supernatural' To End After Season 10? Execs Talk Winchesters' Future

The CW series has never been afraid of working their fandom into the story line - think Carver Edlund's in-series Supernatural books, "Meta Fiction," and "The French Mistake" - but the landmark episode will take the theme above and beyond the norm.

"I think it'll be one of the more amusing and engaging episodes we've done in a while. I think we can safely call this a meta episode," explained executive producer Jeremy Carver, according to E!. "We're going pretty meta. I would just describe it as something of a love letter to our fans and there will be songs."

Viewers have often asked for a musical episode a la Buffy's "One More With Feeling," and they may finally get their wish (see video below).

"There will be more than one song," Carver told E!, adding that it will be a mixture of both covers and original songs.

However, the EP stopped short of saying whether or not Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) will be the ones singing.

Titled "Fan Fiction," according to TV Line, it looks like the tenth season's fifth episode will be one viewers would be loath to miss.
