As filming for Fast and Furious 7 is through, Vin Diesel recently wrote about the race war scenes in the movie via his Facebook account.

Diesel celebrated the fact that the scenes were being shot in Los Angeles, back to "where it all began," and also championed the work of the extras who stuck it out in the scorching heat:

"The extras helping us to create the Race Wars scene, are doing such a great job... really impressed with their spirit, in spite of the scorching desert sun, haha...

And to Universal, who made sure we could deliver on the promise, to bring the saga home... where it all began."

The scene was the last one, as in June a casting call call looking for men and women aged 18-30, "all ethnicities, all shapes and sizes" was sent out. The filming for the particular scenes these extras were required for would begin on July 7. In a The Hollywood Reporter report dated May 21, the ending of the 13-week shoot was written about. The final scene will be shot in Bakersfield, California with 600 people in the shot. Seems like it was also a massive feat for director James Wan.

Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. James Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in the year that he will step away from directing the franchise.

The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Diesel, Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.

Fast and Furious 7 will hit theaters in April 3, 2015.
