This Friday is a big day for country singer Carrie Underwood. The behind-the-scenes look for her Sunday Night Football performance for NBC hits theatres and the singer takes the stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.

Country Singer Carrie Underwood Kicks Back At Home With Her 'Kids'

Underwood has spent the summer out on the road, performing the Miranda Lambert duet Somethin' Bad at a number of award shows and teasing news about her own upcoming album.

The last time Underwood mentioned this album was at her Fan Club Party at the CMA Music Festival on June 3. The singer told fans that she'd been developing a new sound with her music, though the album was still in its early stages. She called her new work a "progression" of herself as an artist, different but still true to who she has always been.

New Details On Upcoming Carrie Underwood Album

This announcement happened to take place at a favorite venue of Underwood's: the Grand Ole Opry. Her return there this week could suggest that she's prepared to make yet another announcement regarding the album.

While the performer has been busy a lot lately, she did manage to sneak in some home time with her dogs earlier this week before heading back out again. Since the singer lives in Nashville, she has a few more days at home before flying out to the east coast later in August.

Underwood's last album, Blown Away, was released in 2012. Her current album has yet to publicly receive a title.
