Supernatural's Dean Winchester will be well aware of his actions as a demon, and it will be up to the hunter to determine just how evil he will be willing to get.

Meta & Music Promised For 200th 'Supernatural' Episode, Will Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki Sing?

Unlike most demons that walk the earth, Demon Dean (Jensen Ackles) will not only have his own body during season 10, but he will also have his own soul, albeit slightly twisted.

"So every thought, every action, that's Dean, as opposed to some other demon possessing him," explained executive producer Jeremy Carver, according to TV Line. "So while he's a demon, that causes some complication of thought in him in that, 'This is really me doing it.' It also motivates a certain bravado. 'Yeah, this is me doing and owning it!'"

Despite a short time jump, Dean will still be working on his new persona when viewers catch up to him in the season 10 premiere.

"There's a real period for Dean of deciding how dark he's going to be and what kind of demon he's going to be, because he can't blame it on anyone else but himself," Carver told TV Line.

Unfortunately, Dean won't be the only Winchester heading down dark alleyways when the series returns.

"Sam is so invested in finding his brother that it leads him to do some questionable things that will make him and, certainly, the audience wonder which one of these guys is the true monster," Carver teased.
