The investigation continues on General Hospital, as the authorities are now involved in trying to determine whether or not Patrick (Jason Thompson) intentionally let Rafe (Jimmy Deshler) die on the operating table.

Silas Warns Obrecht She Will Answer For The 'Blood On Her Hands?'

Patrick was the only neurosurgeon in the hospital when Rafe started to seize, forcing him to perform the operation on the teen, who just hours before, had been revealed as the person responsible for the car accident that inadvertently killed Patrick's infant son, Gabriel. Before he was forced to operate however, Patrick had made some pointed statements about how he hoped Rafe would die as well, because it was the only fair exchange for his son's life-and those statements are not going to help his case now.

"Did you make any of these statements?" Scott (Kin Shriner) asks him in a preview clip for the Tuesday, July 22 episode.

Obrecht Setting Patrick Up?

Patrick did try to save Rafe, but the injuries he had sustained in his second accident were too great-and Patrick couldn't prevent the teen from going brain dead. His statements however, will make him look guilty-and could possibly cause him to be suspended from the hospital as a result.

Meanwhile, Sam (Kelly Monaco) has been torn since the operation between her friend, and her boyfriend, Silas (Michael Easton), Rafe's uncle. Silas fully believes Patrick intentionally let his nephew die-and may have been the one to provide Scott with the statements Patrick made beforehand. And though Sam was sticking by her man before, his betrayal of her friend could be the breaking point in their relationship.

"That is unforgiveable," she says to him in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
