Even though Shonda Rhimes shut down all re-casting Columbus Short rumors earlier this year, many fans still wonder if there will be another male actor added to the cast to fill in the void of life without Harrison.

According to E! Online, show writer Betsy Beers confirmed that there will be "...an amazing explosive and dramatic way for him to exit." 

If Shonda should reconsider or add to the already amazing cast, here are some actors that Enstars thinks could hold their own in a Scandal-pace face off with Papa Pope.

Here are '8 Actors that Could Fill the Void of Columbus Short on Scandal':

1) IDRIS ELBA (with his British accent)

Olivia would be like, "Fitz who?"  Imagine if he played an international representative of b6-13, or a person who the Gladiators helped for just one episode?  **Faints**

2)  DENZEL WASHINGTON

Denzel Washington is a great actor, and can hold is own with this stellar cast.  Also, you, your mom and grandmother can discuss how great he looks onscreen.  YES PLEASE.

3) ISAIAH WASHINGTON

We loved him on 'Grey's Anatomy', and since he appeared after the rumored on-set drama, we would love to see him make a return to ABC... If Shonda will allow it.  

Role prediction?: A good looking male accomplice to the infamous Mama Pope.  

4)  NATE PARKER

No gif needed.  For the most part, Nate Parker stays off the radar.  He is a great looking actor who certainly deserves more shine.  Just look at him.  Hello?  He could play Olivia's surprise relative, or something.  Who honestly cares, just put him on a show so he's on TV every week.

5)  JAMIE FOXX

Reprise his role from "Law Abiding Citizen", and move him to DC to help Liv out with anotther unruly father avenging his family's death?  No, too much?  

6)  DB WOODSIDE

DB was great on VH1's (and now Centric's) "Single Ladies" original hit series, and someone who is also easy on the eyes.  Shonda likes that.  

7)  TERRENCE HOWARD

Terrence Howard has played many roles.  A reoccuring role on "Scandal" would be a good move for him, but with the recent drama in his own relationship... Shonda would not be here for it.

8)  BLAIR UNDERWOOD

No words needed.  SHONDA LET HIM AUDITION.
