While Who Do You Think You Are? was cancelled by NBC after its third season, it has since been picked up by TLC, where it will begin its second season, and its fifth overall, on Wednesday.

Cynthia Nixon Did Not Like Consumerism On Sex And The City

On Tuesday, Carter Matt reported that the premiere of this season with feature former Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon.

The show features celebrities being taught about their family history and genealogy. Fittingly, since this is television, they usually have some sort of surprise in their past, and there is often some rather interesting information revealed for the celebrity, as well as the viewer. Additionally, there is also usually a fair degree of travel involved, to show the folks some of the places this history happened. For example, in the Cynthia Nixon episode, she finds out that an ancestor of hers was the only woman being held prisoner in a certain place during the Civil War.

The six episode fifth season of Who Do You Think You Are? also features Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Rachel McAdams, Kelsey Grammer, Valerie Bertinelli, and Lauren Graham. The Nixon episode will air at 9:00 p.m. Wednesdays on TLC. Furthermore, this week, TLC will be rerunning the episode featuring Nixon's fellow Sex and the City veteran Sarah Jessica Parker right before it at 8:00 p.m.
