Boardwalk Empire will enter its final season on HBO in September, but cast and crew for the prohibition drama won't have much trouble finding new projects.

Ben Rosenfeld Talks Willie Thompson's Future On 'Boardwalk Empire'

Even with the series ending, it's shaping up to be a good year for those on the set of Boardwalk Empire. Actor Michael K. Williams is having a particularly busy year. The actor, known for his role as Omar Little on HBO's The Wire and for playing Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire, stars in The Purge: Anarchy. He also nabbed a supporting role in last year's Oscar Best Picture winner, 12 Years A Slave.

This summer Williams will appear at the Blackstar Film Festival to promote his latest film They Die By Dawn, an Oklahoma western based on the true story of African American cowboys in 1890. Williams will speak at a panel on August 2 in Philadelphia. The festival will run from July 31-August 3.

Williams isn't the only one keeping busy. Lucky Luciano portrayer Vincent Piazza recently starred in the film adaptation for Jersey Boys and Boardwalk Empire alum Michael Pitt has been making the rounds promoting his new science fiction drama I, Origins.

Ben Rosenfield, who stepped up last season as Willie Thompson, nephew to Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi), stars in the upcoming film A Most Violent Year.

Last week it was announced that director Jeremy Podeswa already has another gig on HBO. Podeswa is set to director episodes five and six for Season 5 of Game Of Thrones, both of which will air wen the series comes back in 2015.

Boardwalk Empire returns to HBO for its fifth and final season Sunday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
