Jeff Daniels, star of the upcoming sequel to Dumb and Dumber, is informing the public that he will be showing off some of his assets in the new movie.

Lloyd Living In Mental Hospital In Dumb and Dumber 2

Daniels appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday where he discussed returning to his character Harry Dunne alongside Jim Carrey's Lloyd Christmas. He said that while there was some "creative discussions" about what to do for Dumb and Dumber 2, stylized as Dumb and Dumber To, they ultimately decided to change "nothing."

"We decided that we should be middle-aged, as we are, and still that stupid," Daniels quipped. "We have aged to some degree but yet intellectually, intelligently, we haven't gained an ounce of intelligence."

Dumb and Dumber 2: Lloyd & Harry's Orange & Blue Suits Return

Daniels recalled that he went to shoot Dumb and Dumber To two days after he won the Emmy for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Will McAvoy on The Newsroom. Humorously, he noted the drastic change from winning an Emmy to staring in a comedy with such slapstick comedy.

"I won the Emmy on a Sunday night, Tuesday morning I'm on the set, showing my butt crack," he deadpanned.

Daniels said that the first two weeks of shooting featured the actor showing off his butt crack "six times."

The actor's comments suggest that very little has changed between 1994's Dumb and Dumber and its upcoming sequel. Dumb and Dumber To centers on Lloyd and Harry going on another cross country road trip in order to track down Harry's daughter. While the concept seems innocent enough, it turns out that they want to get one of his daughter's kidneys.

Dumb and Dumber To is scheduled for release in theaters on Nov. 14.
