Fans of Netflix's Orange is the New Black will have to say goodbye to one polarizing character for now: Pablo Schreiber will not be returning as "Pornstache" for the third season.

Bennett 'Still Present' on Orange is the New Black Despite Actor's New ABC Series

Schreiber revealed to the New York Post in a Wednesday report that he would not be appearing at all in the third season of the popular prison series.

"I'm not taking part in the third season," he revealed. "I'm a member of a show called The Brink that's going to be on HBO. It's a half-hour comedy with Jack Black and Tim Robbins and me [as] the three leads. I'm really excited about it."

Despite his good feelings towards OITNB, Schreiber admitted that he took the new job because he would get to be a series regular on a show, not just a guest star as he is on Orange.

"I was never a series regular on Orange Is The New Black. I was always a guest star. The role that I have on The Brink is a starring role, and it's a no brainer," he said. "Absolutely, I chose to jump on board with that show. It was a better move for me as an actor."

However, this won't necessarily be the end of George "Pornstache" Mendez. Schreiber teased that he is open to returning to the show if he is able to.

"I would go anywhere that [series creator Jenji Kohan's] working, and I know that our paths will cross again soon, whether it's on Orange or on a future project."

Funnily enough, Oscar winner Mary Steenburgen is set to appear in the third season of Orange is the New Black as Pornstache's mother. Considering Pornstache took the fall for impregnated prisoner Daya (Dascha Polanco), it is possible that his mother will step in to try and take custody of the baby - even though it's really Bennett's (Matt McGorry).

Orange is the New Black Season 3 is expected to begin streaming in Summer 2015. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix.
