The first episode of season 6 - titled Vegas - will introduce fans to a new character, according to TVLine.com. And, this new character may stir a lot more trouble for the estranged couple.

Parenthood Cast Celebrates Final Season Renewal

Joel (Sam Jaeger) and Julia's (Erika Christensen) marriage went downhill after she confessed to kissing Ed last season. Julia attempted to salvage her relationship, but Joel was hesitant and even confessed that their relationship wasn't working even before she engaged in the kiss. With tears in his eyes, the father of their two children explained that he felt hurt by her displeasure of being a stay-at-home mom and revealed that he considered her kiss cheating.

Parenthood fans will get to see the Braverman family for 13 final episodes in the fall, at the same time -- Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST.

"One of the things I wanted to do with the season was to find one larger story that influences everybody on the show," showrunner Jason Katims said at the Television Critics Association's fall previews, TVGuide.com reported. "It's a huge challenge for this family and a kind we haven't seen before."

He added, "I feel like we're going to be telling a story this year that we haven't been able to."
