Actor John Boyega, who is currently filming a starring role in Star Wars: Episode VII, took to Twitter this week to announce his desire to be a part of future Marvel movie.

J.J. Abrams Gives Message To Fans With New Footage From 'Star Wars: Episode VII'

The first tweet seemed to be a joke, but Boyega followed it up with a tweet that stated "Currently booking a flight to Wakanda."

Wakanda, of course, is the land of the Black Panther, who has also popped up many times in Marvel rumors as a future hero to join the cinematic ranks. Other rumors have circulated that the Avengers may be visiting this land during the upcoming Age of Ultron, but nothing certain has been stated yet.

'Star Wars: Episode VII' Plot Similar To a Previous Film?

Most likely, Boyega is just sharing his wishful thoughts aloud over social media, but with Comic-Com abuzz and Marvel set to make some announcements, who's to say the Star Wars star doesn't flip over to the Marvel side of things and take on this role? He certainly has shown a strong willingness for action and J.J. Abrams clearly saw something in him to cast him in a large role for Episode VII.

Boyega went on to dispute the rumors over Twitter and other media outlets chimed in to say that having the Black Panther show up this soon doesn't seem likely. But with Marvel's long-term plan set, whose to say they don't get a head start on casting and setting up the universe.

Boyega will next be seen in Star Wars: Episode VII, which hits theaters on December 17, 2015.
