The body count on CBS' Under the Dome is about to go up as more characters succumb to their fate in living under the mysterious dome.

Under the Dome Character Receives Star Wars Trash Compactor Treatment In Season 2

Under the Dome executive producer Neal Baer spoke at Comic-Con in San Diego Thursday where he revealed that more death is to come in Season 2, according to TVGuide.com.

"We kept the body [count] down at the beginning of the season so we can rev it up for the end," Baer teased to the crowd. He showed a new teaser of Barbie (Mike Vogel) looking like he was falling to his death, though he did not confirm if Barbie would be one of those people dying, for obvious reasons.

However, it seems likely that one of the characters will be miraculously getting outside the dome in the coming episodes.

"One of our characters might get out of the dome this season," Baer said, and reportedly implied that Barbie might be the one to get out.

The Season 2 premiere of Under the Dome featured the death of two main characters: Linda (Natalie Martinez) and Angie (Britt Robertson). Despite their onscreen deaths, this does not suggest that it is the last fans will see of them.

"When you're dead, you're dead," Baer quipped. "But that doesn't mean you can't be an avatar and come back at some point."

Baer said that fans will "definitely find out what's in that locker this year," referring to Angie and her unfortunate fate.

Discussing the possibility of continuing forward with a Season 3, Baer seems confident that there is more to explore with these characters.

"We've set it up so we can keep going," Baer said, in regard to the Season 2 finale. "We have plenty of stories left to tell."

Under the Dome Season 2 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
