The Mentalist's newest FBI agent needs to brush up on her law enforcement skills.

'The Mentalist' Season 7 Filming Start Date Announced For 'Encore' Season

Make It or Break It's Josie Loren will join Agent Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) team in season 7 as Agent Vega, and the actress is brushing up on the ways of the Feds before she goes toe to toe with Patrick Jane (Simon Baker).

"FBI bootcamp today to learn the ways of an agent for @Mentalist_CBS!" Loren tweeted on Thursday. "Can't run, no hand-eye coordination, minimal strength...this should b[e] fun."

A rookie agent fresh out of the academy, Vega will be a by-the-book investigator and her strict ways will put her at odds with the Mentalist himself.

"She's never heard of Jane, knows nothing of his methods or past, and casts a skeptical eye on his unorthodox, rule-busting ways," TV Line announced on Friday.

Unfortunately, Mentalist fans will have to wait until winter to see Loren join the cast. With a limited 13-episode run, The Mentalist won't return to CBS until sometime in early 2015. Despite this, however, the series will begin filming on July 7.
