FOX's cartoon comedies are pulling out all the stops for their upcoming season premieres.

The Griffins Are Going To Springfield

The Simpsons are going to kill of a character, and there is much speculation about who it will be while Family Guy is welcoming Springfield's favorite family to their show with an hour-long opener to their season. On Saturday, Entertainment Weekly provided some further information about this crossover event, and also they exclusively debuted a five-minute clip of the episode.

The clip was first screened at Family Guy's Comic-Con panel, but now it is available for all to see. In the episode, entitled "The Simpsons Guy," the Griffin family find themselves in The Simpsons' Springfield, and then, one presumes, hilarity ensues. The footage provided primarily focuses on Homer and Peter Griffin hanging out and Stewie hanging out with Bart. Homer and Peter drink beer and eat donuts while Bart and Stewie skateboard and make prank phone calls. It very much feels like a Family Guy twist on the world of The Simpsons, which seems like the intent.

Character To Die In The Simpsons Premiere

At the panel, there was also discussion of other upcoming Family Guy episodes from this season, including other guest stars such as Liam Neeson, but nothing on the same level of this expanded collision of cartoon worlds. However, there was also talk of a possible Star Trek parody in the vein of Family Guy's Star Wars parody, as well as a potential movie in the future. First, however, comes "The Simpsons Guy" which will air on FOX on September 28.
