Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney might be taking a little break from her flips and turns based on a tweet that sounded rather painful.

On Saturday, Maroney wrote about something that happened to her while she was on the bars, which seemed to have an agonizing result.

"slipped off the high bar and landed on my thighs on the low bar yesterday at the gym. cool right," she wrote. A numbr of her followers sent their responses on how they hope she's okay. Odds are likely she'll be fine since she was able to put the tweet in. She also didn't mention anything about being injured so this may be a quick recovery.

There was a previous experience when Maroney received another injury, which she explained was not that easy to pull through.

"Oh man, coming back from my broken tibia was quite a process," she told ESPN. "I got the screws taken out three days before my birthday, and I got an infection. Although my physical therapy was focused on my leg and toe, everything in my body became stronger through it."

Maroney then had to do some cross-training along with some other activities as she was healing.

"I ran on a treadmill to get back the flow of my runs; my rhythm was way off," the gymnast said. "I also rode the bike because doing so put less pressure on my joints. I also did gymnastic-centric moves like jumping on a mat to work on my balance and focused on my flexibility."
