There hasn't been any official word on a third season renewal for Lifetime's Devious Maids, but one cast member in particular seems especially hopeful for the show's return.

'Devious Maids' Has Surprising Fan?

Dominic Adams, who was introduced in the latest season as the Powell's deceitful bodyguard, recently spoke to The Belfast Telegraph about his time on the program, and revealed how much he'd love to be back if the show if picked up for new episodes.

"I'm always hoping to return!" he said in a July 27 interview. "It's been a great experience. I love being in the show and I love the reaction from fans-it's been wonderful. The cast and crew have been a big family."

'Devious Maids' Being Renewed For Third Season?

"A lot of questions are answered but there's also a lot of doors left open, so we'll see where that takes us," he added.

Adams is the first cast member to formally address whether or not the show could be back, but may have given a huge hint that renewal chances are good, as he talked about his former on-screen employers, Adrian (Tom Irwin) and Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) Powell.

His character had a brief affair with Evelyn during the season, before his true motives were revealed and he was fired from his job. But despite his character becoming involved with the married woman, Adams teased that no matter what could happen in future seasons of the show, Adrian and Evelyn would still always remain together.

"The blessed Powells, Adrian and Evelyn, ultimately are very strong," he said. "They're two incredibly strong people, who, at their core, have this deep, complicated, twisted love and I don't think that's going to change, regardless of those things that come and go and these people who come in and out of their lives."

"They are like this black hole that devours everything before them," he added. "So no matter what each of them are doing with other people, they always seem to hold the power at the end. I don't see that happening any time soon."

While the show had respectable ratings for its second season, viewers came to watch in lower numbers on average, compared to the high ratings the first season brought in.

The drama did face some stiff competition in its 10 p.m. timeslot on Sundays this season, getting beaten by a wide variety of shows, including HBO's Silicon Valley and The Leftovers, AMC's Mad Men, Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives of New Jersey, Adult Swim's Bob's Burgers, TLC's Return to Amish, TNT's Falling Skies and Discovery's Naked and Afraid.

Lifetime has yet to announce if the drama will be renewed for a third season.
