It looks like the relationship between Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner might be a little more heated than one may have thought.

On Monday, Yahoo! Celebrity posted a story on director Kevin Smith who's worked with Affleck in several films. One might think that this would make the two close friends, but Smith claimed that the two don't contact each other. And it might be possible that the actor's wife could be a reason for that.

"I have not been [close with him] in decades. That's old Ben. He's got a wife that don't [sic] care for me at all," Smith said while adding a laugh. "And plus, honestly, he probably don't care for me at all anymore [either]. He's a triple-A-list movie star and s--- like that. If he's Jimmy Carter, I'm Billy Carter, to put it in '70s terms. And I'm not even related and s---."

This might cause some people to wonder if Affleck and Garner don't like the other to have certain friends especially since Mark Ruffalo made a comment on how he's not close with his former 13 Going on 30 co-star anymore. In a Watch What Happens Live clip posted on People, Ruffalo mentioned the details.

"We have a great time together," he said on working with Garner before. "And I think we would, but then Ben came on the scene and that was the end of that."

When the show's host, Andy Cohen, asked if Affleck doesn't allow his wife to have male friends, Ruffalo responded with a shrug.
